Featured Student: Faheem Marzuq

Faheem Marzuq, 30, is an observant Muslim. He loves Ashtanga yoga and finds that it deepens his sitting meditation practice and his own religious faith. Faheem appreciates that there is no requirement to join in the traditional opening and closing Sanskrit chants, and that he is free to kneel in Muslim prayer whenever he chooses during the Richmond City Jail yoga class.
